All units have a 2 patient to 1 nurse ratio which can increase or decrease depending on acuity and stability of a patient. Agency RNs are in a critical care float pool so can be assigned to any one of these 4 units and may be assigned to intermediate units on other floors in the hospital. Ratios on intermediate level are 1 nurse to 3-4 patients depending on acuity. Agency RN will be successful if they have had experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center.
