Job Description:
Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, providing intensive respiratory care and patient transport into and out of the facility as medically prescribed, within the scope of professional license and with minimal supervision. Evaluates patient and recommends a treatment plan.
Performs chest physiotherapy by operating various equipment to promote secretion clearance.
Performs suctioning of the patient by various methods (oropharyngeal, nasal and tracheal).
Performs oximetry and capnography monitoring according to policy.
Performs routine review of patient's chest x-rays to determine need for further evaluation.
Performs 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
Performs pulmonary function studies according to policy (i.e. NIF, VC etc.)
Assists with procedures relating to respiratory care according to policy (i.e. Bronchoscopy, Perc Trachs, Chest Tube placement, etc.).
Performs adequate drainage of chest via PleurX catheter or similar device where applicable.
Performs tracheostomy care according to policy, including insertion and removal of tracheostomy tubes (emergent and non-emergent).
Performs arterial puncture according to policy and is able to determine efficiency of ventilation, as well as monitoring, recording and reporting of test results.
For hospitals with moderate complexity labs: Follows all policies and procedures related to laboratory testing including: specimen handling, use of equipment, documentation and reporting of results, quality controls and maintenance to include: Pre-analytic, Analytic, and Post-analytic phases of testing.
Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
Performs insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes via free hand technique and/or video laryngoscope system.
Performs set-up & self-test on all ventilatory equipment as required and operates, maintains and monitors mechanical ventilation on various types of equipment.
Assists in facilitating preventative maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
Records all pertinent information of treatments, and patient response to treatments on respiratory care records and patient chart (including pre and post-assessment according to policy).
Communicates with attending and pulmonary physician's concerning the efficiency of therapy administered to the patient.
Reports all necessary information in hands-off communication during walking rounds for shift-to-shift.
Maintains accurate respiratory therapy charging, including data entry, verification and correction of errors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current state licensure required
BLS certification required prior to first shift

The Center Director is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and manages the day-to-day operations of their assigned center by providing clinical and operational leadership. Services delivered follow evidence-based practice (EBP) approaches, which include operationally defined, empirically documented, and socially validated methods based on the principles of behavior analysis. The Center Director ensures daily operations meet best practice standards of care, requirements of funders, and company policies and procedures by providing coaching, supervision, and evaluating the work performance of office manager, behavior technicians, training and behavior specialists, and supervising behavior analyst(s). Additionally, the Center Director is responsible for the performance and productivity of staff in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational Responsibilities (40%)
a. Ensure individual staff productivity of service unit and financial targets, which includes client census and staff ratios.
b. Oversees day-to-day operations and works with the office manager to ensure sufficient supplies, maintaining checklists (e.g., regulatory standards), and informing division leadership of challenges and impending issues.
c. Coordinate the recruitment of staff, including publicizing open positions, interviewing, and selecting staff.
d. Assists with applicable portions of the revenue cycle management process to ensure timely payments and collections for services provided, by ensuring documentation of services (including authorizations) are completed in a timely manner.
e. Assists with budgeting process (i.e., projecting census) and provides information to the senior leadership team as requested.
f. Manages expenses and ensures that spending does not exceed monthly budget.
Supervision and Training (40%)
a. Serves as a leader of the center team in assessing and supporting clients and staff within the center by creating a sense of community and positive working culture.
b. Reviews referrals on an ongoing basis, monitor, assign caseloads and ensure appropriate staffing ratios and clinician caseloads.
c. No caseload required of Center Director; however, for centers under 15 clients, or when there is a Supervising Behavior Analyst (SBA) vacancy, the CD will maintain a caseload as needed, and will serve as lead BCBA for the team by assigning caseloads and clients to SBAs.
d. Supervise clinicians to ensure quality of service delivery and that assessment informs treatment protocols or curriculum.
e. Provide services or supervision in a timely manner as specified by the division by measuring fidelity, rapport, and providing support to teams.
Performance Management and Professional Development (20%)
a. Ensure staff meet competency requirements prior to rendering face to face services and follow responsibilities as outlined in the individual work performance standards, state, and federal regulations.
b. Evaluate staff performance at quarterly intervals from the date of employment, including but not limited to SBA mentorship to junior staff supporting professional growth.
c. Coordinate regular clinical team meetings (e.g., center senior team meetings) and attend divisional meetings (e.g., monthly center team meetings).
d. Review, develop, and implement a plan to address client and staff incidents and report progress to RD.
e. Participate in clinical (e.g., company-wide senior staff monthly meetings) and operational meetings (e.g., weekly meetings with RD and Director of Operations/Operations Manager).
KPI’s (METRICS):
a. Financial Targets: Ensures census and staff ratios, caseloads to meet monthly budget targets, and maintains a caseload if center under 15 clients or if SBAs are not at target
b. Client and Team Member Satisfaction: Assesses client and employee satisfaction through NPS and eNPS
c. Center Clinical Quality Measures: Ensures staff meet and maintain competency, supervision is provided in a consistent and timely manner, outcome measures are completed on a regular schedule.
d. Documentation: Ensures documentation (reports, treatment notes, etc.) are completed on a timely manner for self and all employees.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis or related discipline (BCBA and license eligible)
· Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience as a BCBA managing a team and working with clients diagnosed with ASD
