Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist for a 13-week contract assignment at a health system in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Job Title: Pharmacist
Shift Schedule: 8:00am-5:00pm 40 hours/week.  Mon-Fri 
Location: Philadelphia, PA 

Additional Qualifications

  • • You will be responsible to process/prepare/dispense prescriptions through the pharmacy system including adjudication of claims to third party insurance plans, proper documentation and record retention, for the filling of medication orders timely and accurately, and selecting the proper drug, dosage form, strength and quantity.
  • • You will monitor patient profiles and perform a drug utilization review for medication appropriateness, duplicate therapy, side effects, drug interactions, etc.
  • • Throughout the work period you will be stationed at the drop-off/pick-up windows, phone station, and various filling/checking counters in the pharmacy.
  • • You will also provide timely appropriate communication to all patients, prescribers, pharmacists, nurses and pharmacy support staff for all activities including proper customer service, patient/employee safety, operational/schedule needs, inventory control, etc.
  • • Administer Injectables/Vaccines when applicable.
  • • Possess the ability to perform the Physical/Working Requirements within a pharmacy/delivery area.
  • • appropriate security of the pharmacy while on duty and follow all health system policies, state and federal laws.
  • • Assume management responsibility of the pharmacy in the absence of the pharmacy manager.
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy is required.

  • A current pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania is required. You must be able to perform dosage calculations, have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel, perform basic office environment tasks, have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, automated dispensing software and systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties, and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet.
