Pay: $68,000-103,000
Job Description:
The Lab Technologist is responsible for performing laboratory testing procedures and interpreting clinical results in accordance with established guidelines, ensuring that all quality standards are consistently met.
- Perform laboratory tests in compliance with departmental standards and established procedures.
- Review and verify results to ensure accuracy and validity.
- Interpret clinical results and ensure they align with quality control measures and technical standards.
- Apply appropriate procedural techniques for specimen procurement, handling, and processing.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments according to established protocols, ensuring proper functionality and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supply levels for lab operations.
- Perform and document routine quality control procedures and participate in proficiency testing to ensure adherence to standards.
- Work closely with the laboratory supervisor or manager to resolve quality control issues, patient concerns, and procedural problems.
- Recommend enhancements to laboratory procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Work closely with team members, supervisors, and managers to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Participate in performance improvement efforts and contribute to a culture of teamwork and cooperation to achieve organizational goals.
