Nucleus Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Phone Triage Registered Nurse working in an outpatient setting for an 8-week contract assignment at a health system in Plainsboro, NJ.

Job Title: Phone Triage Registered Nurse 
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm - No weekends
Location: Plainsboro, NJ
 
Job Description: 
 
The Registered Nurse plays a crucial role in patient care by managing communication and triaging patient needs over the phone. This back-office role requires strong communication skills, efficiency, and attention to detail as you handle patient calls, in basket messages, and assess the urgency of medical issues. 
 
  • Manage patient In Basket messages within EPIC. 
  • Triage incoming patient calls, assessing symptoms, and prioritizing care based on patient needs. 
  • Provide patient education and advice regarding medical concerns. 
  • Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. 
  • Document patient interactions and ensure compliance with medical standards and protocols. 
  • Deliver a high level of customer service while addressing patient concerns and inquiries.

Additional Qualifications

  • Active RN license in NJ
  • EPIC experience required
