As the Operating Room (OR) Nurse, you are responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Other duties you would be responsible for include but are not limited to:
- Delivering exceptional nursing care by assessing patient status and considering physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural factors, developing patient care plans, and implementing clinical nursing interventions consistent with the plan.
- Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the surgical process.
- Assisting interdisciplinary team in pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
- Proficiently operate and maintain surgical equipment, ensuring their proper functioning during procedures.
- Documenting all patient care activities accurately and concisely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Reporting pertinent observations and reactions regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
- May be required to perform limited laboratory services.
- Supporting performance improvement initiatives and providing leadership to other members of the patient care team.
- May complete other duties as assigned.
